Chelsea have potentially been dealt a massive blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international finished the season as the Bundesliga’s top scorer, and has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Chelsea strongly linked in recent weeks.
Dortmund chiefs were willing to listen to offers for Aubameyang this summer, however, according to German news outlet Kicker, any potential move for the striker could now be off.
The German club are notorious for getting their transfer business done early and the article claims they set an internal transfer deadline for themselves, a deadline which has now passed.
This means that no more players will be arriving or departing from Signal Idunda Park this summer as they prepare for the new season.
Chelsea have also been linked with moves for Andrea Belotti, Alvaro Morata and a shock move for Sergio Aguero as they look to replace the goals scored by Atletico Madrid bound Diego Costa.
