Chelsea have joined Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race for Udinese star Jakub Jankto, according to the reports in The Sun.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form in Serie A this season, netting five goals in 18 appearances. Jankto, has a wand of a left foot and is comfortable playing anywhere across midfield. The former Slavia Prague youth player is renowned for his slick passing, eye for goal and wicked dead ball deliveries.

Jankto already has 10 international caps for the Czech Republic, and his excellent performances have not gone unnoticed in Italy either with AC Milan also said to be interested in the player.

His versatility and physicality make him an attractive proposition for Premier League clubs. Chelsea and Arsenal are aware that the player has a £6 million pound buy-out clause in his Udinese contract, and are both expected to make bids next summer.
