Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who has been chased by a a trio of top Premier League clubs, is in talks with Napoli over a move to the Serie A side.
Chelsea, Arsenal, and Man City have all been heavily linked with a move for the all action midfielder recently, although his agent Franklin Mala confirmed yesterday that his client is in discussions over a move to Italy.
“We are in talks with Napoli and he’s tempted by the idea of wearing the jersey.” Mala said.
Ivory Coast international Sei has emerged as one of the most sought after central midfielders in Europe over the last 12 months, and he was left heartbroken last summer when Nice refused to negotiate with Spanish giants Barcelona, and a move to the Nou Camp broke down.
However, Sky Sports are reporting that Chelsea and Arsenal remain interested in the talented 26-year-old, who has an attractive £35 million buy out clause in his contract with Nice.
Premier League Champions Manchester City are also said to be monitoring the situation closely in case their move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho breaks down.
