Chelsea and Man City enter race for Spurs target

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is known to be a long term admirer of Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha and the Argentine coach is eager for his club to push through a move for the talented winger this summer.

However, according to reports in The Mirror Chelsea and Man City have both now entered the race to secure the 25-year-old’s services.

Zaha burst onto the scene as a teenager with boyhood club Palace. He put in such a dazzling wing display against Man United at Old Trafford that Sir Alex Ferguson made him his final signing before his retirement.

Despite his obvious ability things did not quite work out for Zaha at United and he moved back to Selhurst Park permanently in 2015.

Over the last couple of seasons the talented attacker has matured and has started to deliver top class displays on a consistent basis, which has lead to interest from top club’s.

Spurs are still said to be favourites to secure his signature as they have held a long term interest, and would like to make Zaha a part of their squad as they move into their new stadium next summer.

Palace however, will be happy that Chelsea and Man City are now starting to firm up their interest in the player, as it will surely only drive his value up further.
