Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in signing Watford’s Brazilian attacker Richarlison, according to reports in The Sun.
Both club’s are said to have been in contact with the talented winger’s agent with a view to making move for the player. The 20-year-old moved to Vicarage Road from Brazilian side Fluminense in the summer in a £11 million deal.
Richarlison has impressed this season with his power, pace and eye-for-goal and Watford are thought to be aware that several bigger clubs are already watching him closely.
He has netted five goals and provided four assists in 22 Premier League appearances. Most observers expected the youngster to struggle acclimatising to life in England, but he has shown that he has all the physical and technical attributes required to thrive at this level, and many pundits are now predicting a long and successful career for the Brazil U20 international.
With both Chelsea and Arsenal looking to improve their options in attacking areas, a move for a player that has already proven he can make an impact in the Premier League, and has such obvious potential to get better and better in the future, may well prove to be a shrewd move.
