Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in signing midfield powerhouse Jean-Michael Seri who currently plays his football in France with Ligue 1 side Nice.

Seri has become on of Europes most sought after central midfield operators over the last 18 months after putting in a series of eye catching performances in Ligue 1.

The Ivory Coast international is renowned for his all-action displays for Nice. He is blessed with superb technique and possesses all the physical attributes required to thrive in the rough and tumble of the Premier League.

Seri was left heartbroken last summer when his move to Spanish giants Barcelona fell through at the last minute.

Sky Sports News are reporting that London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are both keen on securing the highly rated midfielders signature this summer, with both club’s having no qualms about matching the £35 million buy out clause in his contract.

However, it is also thought that Manchester City are interested in Seri and may even try and use their strong relationship with Patrick Vieira, who has just been named as the new manager of Nice, to try and convince the 26-year-old of the benefits of moving to the Etihad.
