Chelsea have agreed a £30million fee for Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante according to reports in France
La Parisien have claimed that Chelsea have agreed the fee with the Premier League champions for Kante, who only moved to Leicester last summer for £5.4million from Caen.
Antonio Conte is in the market to strengthen his midfield, with Kante being one of his top targets. The 25-year old enjoyed a phenomenal debut campaign in the Premier League last season, with his work rate being one of the key factors in Leicester title charge.
However, his excellent form has attracted attention from a number of clubs, with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain amongst just some of the names linked with the Frenchman.
It’s believed that Kante has a complicated £20million buyout clause in his Leicester deal, that means that bids above that value will be needed, and a £30million offer from Chelsea seems to have won the race, and a deal could be concluded soon.
