Chelsea advancing in move to sign superstar striker

Chelsea are continuing to advance in their chase of the signature of Bayern Munich’s superstar striker Robert Lewandowski in a deal expected to set the London club back £100 million.

Despite managerial uncertainty and the clubs owner Roman Abramovich’s UK visa being up for review, the Stamford Bridge hierarchy are determined to push ahead for a deal to bring the Poland international frontman to London this summer.

Chelsea believe that signing a top class striker of the pedigree Lewandowski, would go along way to convince the likes of contract rebels Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois to stay at the club, according to a report in the Telegraph.

Lewandowski made his name with Borussia Dortmund were he plundered 74 goals in 131 game, before moving to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich in 2014. Since moving to Bavaria the 29-year-old has netted a ridiculous 106 goals in just 126 games, and won three consecutive league titles.

Lewandowski is undoubtedly one of the best out-and-out number nines in world football, so there will be few Chelsea fans complaining if this deal does go ahead.
