It’s getting towards the business end of the season, and the draw for the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League has been made.
With plenty of excitement of having five Premier League teams in the round of 16, it is with a little disappointment that only two have made it through to the next round.
Manchester United were the most shock casualties of the round of 16, going out 2-1 on aggregate to Sevilla. Chelsea were unable to put up much opposition against the mighty Barcelona, while Spurs suffered defeat to the hands of Italian giants Juventus.
That leaves just Liverpool and Manchester City as the England’s sole representatives, with Italy having two teams, Spain having three, and Germany just one.
The draw threw up some pretty amazing ties, including, the two English teams being sensationally drawn against each other.
Despite Man City running away with the league, Liverpool are the only team so far to beat Pep Guardiola’s side in the league all season which should make it a fascinating match up.
The draw also paired last year’s finalists Real Madrid and Juventus together!
Here is the full details of the quarter final draw
Barcelona v Roma
Sevilla v Bayern Munich
