The draw for the UEFA Champions League’s first knockout round has been made, with Manchester City and Arsenal discovering their last-16 opponents.
Group stage exits for Manchester United and Newcastle mean there are just two Premier League representatives in the Round of 16, with holders Manchester City continuing their defence of the trophy against FC Copenhagen, who finished above Manchester United in the group stage.
Arsenal – competing in the Champions League for the first time since 2016/17 – will take on FC Porto after progressing to this stage as group winners.
Real Madrid underlined their credentials with six straight group wins and will face RB Leipzig, while Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich meet Lazio over two legs.
Elsewhere Napoli face Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain meet Real Sociedad, and Diego Simeone faces former club Inter Milan with Atletico Madrid.
