Celtic’s James Forrest has called for a ‘big push’ from his side as they prepare to take on Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Scottish champions take on the Group B leaders, who have a flawless record in the group stage so far, knowing a point would be enough to seal qualification to the knock-out stages.
Celtic currently sit second in the group and lead third-placed Red Bull Leipzig by three points and Forrest, who scored twice in the weekend win over Kilmarnock, has called for a big performance from Brendan Rodger’s side.
“We know it is going to be a hard game and it will take a big push from everyone and hopefully we get a result on the night.’’ Forrest told Sky Sports.
“We would have taken it being in our own hands going into the last game.
“It is going to take a real push. We know Salzburg are a top side and everyone is going to be at it on the night to make sure we get through.
“Everyone is going to have to put in a big performance to make sure we get through.”
