Carragher says Hazard will want to leave Chelsea after Man City display

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has come in for some heavy criticism after his sides lacklustre performance during their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last Sunday.

Many observers felt The Blues tactical set up was far too negative, lacking any intensity or purpose.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard, who was asked to play as a striker, also seems unhappy with his how his team set up and clearly seemed dismayed at the role he was asked to perform when he said:

“[He]wouldn’t have touched the ball had the match gone on for three hours.”

Then tonight during Sky Sports hugely popular Monday Night Football leading pundit Jamie Carragher revealed that Chelsea’s performance was so poor, that he expects Hazard to seek a move away from Stamford Bridge.

He’s the star player at Chelsea,”

“But there has always been talk of him moving on.

“I have no doubt that at the end of that game, as soon as he got on that coach or got home, he will have been right on the phone to his agent saying, ‘get me out of here’.

Hazard has reportedly been stalling over signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge amid reported interested from Real Madrid.

Chelsea’s defeat at the weekend has now seen the defending Premier League Champions drop to fifth position in the table, five points behind fourth placed Spurs.
