Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard is anticipating a tightly contested final with reigning holders.

The Blues advanced to the final of the League Cup on Thursday night following their penalty shootout victory over local rivals Spurs.

The game ended 2-1, but finished a 2-2 draw on aggregate, sending the tie straight to penalties, which Chelsea won 4-2. They will now face Manchester City in the final.

Eden Hazard scored on the night, after which he said the two teams will be closely matched in the showpiece game.

“Man City are the best team with Liverpool in the Premier League. They won a lot of trophies but we also have a great team. It’s a 50-50 game.” Hazard told Sky Sports.

Chelsea last won the League Cup in 2015, while Man City have won three of the last five finals.

The two sides will face off in the League Cup final at Wembley on February 24th.
