Moises Caicedo is said to be ‘committed’ to joining Chelsea despite interest emerging from Liverpool.
Caicedo seems set to be one of the biggest transfers of the summer following his impressive rise at Brighton, with the Ecuador international establishing himself as one of the most promising midfielders in the Premier League.
Despite essentially going on strike, Brighton managed to keep hold of Caicedo following heavy interest in his services in January, with both Arsenal and Chelsea seeing bids knocked back during the winter window.
Arsenal have since moved on to complete a deal for Declan Rice, with Chelsea now the overwhelming favourite to land Caicedo, who has already spoken openly about his desire to move to the capital.
However, reports in recent days have suggested that Liverpool could join the race for the 21-year-old, with the club looking to overhaul their midfield this summer.
The Reds have already completed deals to sign Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, though could be set to lose Jordan Henderson and Fabinho from their ranks amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
Those potential departures have seen Liverpool linked with a potential move for Caicedo, though according to the Telegraph’s Matt Law, speaking to the London is Blue podcast, the midfielder is ‘committed’ to making the move to Stamford Bridge.
Caicedo has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, though the two clubs are still in talks as they look to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. Brighton are said to want ‘more than £100 million’ for the midfielder, a figure the Blues are apparently unwilling to meet.
