Burnley boss Sean Dyche says Manchester City are a ‘top side’, but insists his players are ‘looking forward’ to facing the title challengers this weekend.
Burnley host Pep Guardiola’s league leaders at Turf Moor on Sunday, with the visitors just three games away from retaining their Premier League title.
Dyche admits Burnley have a difficult task in stopping City, but insists his side are looking forward to proving they can challenge the ‘elite teams’.
“Manchester City are a top side. We want to take on the game and at least prove that we can challenge with the elite teams,” Dyche told his pre-match press conference.
“The top six are miles ahead, but we are looking forward to it, especially in front of our own fans.”
“Manchester City won’t be expecting to come here for a walk in the park. Neither will we and we want to fight for everything and take it on,” he says.
