Bukayo Saka started the Premier League season off with a bang as Arsenal beat Wolves 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The 22-year-old combined with Kai Havertz for both goals, setting up the German for the opener in the first half before the favour was returned in the 74th minute.
The Gunners could have killed off the game earlier, taking 17 shots on goal in total, but their title challenge has kicked off with three points and a clean sheet.
“We can be happy but there was some room to improve,” Havertz told Sky Sports after the full-time whistle.

“The first 20 minutes were good. We had good chances. We then lost a bit of control of the game and our press didn’t work. Always 100 percent we defended deep very well. We didn’t give them a lot of chances and it is three points.”
The playmaker-turned-striker lavished praise on Saka for his consistently impressive performances in an Arsenal shirt, calling his teammate a “very rare” talent.
“Saka is unbelievable,” Havertz said. “There are not a lot of players like him on the planet and he is still so young. He can get better. It is very rare to see a young player like this perform every week at the highest level.”
Arsenal travel to Villa Park for their second game of the Premier League season next weekend, taking on Aston Villa and former manager Unai Emery at 5.30 BST on Saturday, 24 August.
