PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has labelled Liverpool’s front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane as the best in Europe.
The Reds deadly attacking trident has won widespread acclaim over the last 12 months and became the first three players to each score more than 10 goals for the same club in a Champions League campaign last season.
Liverpool travel to Paris this evening to face PSG in a crunch Champions League Group C clash and 176 cap Italy international Buffon has admitted that he is looking forward to facing the Reds’ fearsome trio.
“Liverpool have a very strong team – but I do especially look at their front players,” Buffon told the Mirror.
“With Salah, Mane, and Firmino they have so much pace, so much creativity, and of course they are all big goal threats.
“Throughout my career I have always wanted to test myself against the best — and at the moment you really can’t think of any teams in Europe who have a better front three than Liverpool.”
