Brighton & Hove Albion host Brentford at the Amex Stadium looking to maintain an unbeaten home record and close the gap on the Premier League’s top two.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side sit third with 19 points from nine matches, just two behind Manchester City and five off leaders Arsenal, having beaten Manchester City 1-0 at the Etihad last weekend. Brighton have won three and drawn two of their five Premier League meetings with Brentford at the Amex, and head into the match off a 2-0 win over the Bees when the sides last met in February.

Brighton team news

Kaoru Mitoma, Stefanos Tzimas, Zadok Yohanna and Evan Ferguson remain unavailable, while Pascal Struijk and Femi Azeez continue their respective recoveries but are unlikely to feature this weekend. Ferdi Kadioglu, absent for the last three matches with a hip issue, has a chance of being fit and would likely replace Costinha in what could be the only change from the side that won at Manchester City.

Brighton remain unbeaten at home this season, winning five and drawing one of their six matches in all competitions at the Amex, with each of those five wins producing a clean sheet and at least three goals, including a 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace in their last home outing.

Brighton predicted lineup

Brighton & Hove Albion possible starting XI (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Kadioglu, Vuskovic, Dunk, Boscagli; Gross, Andres; Gomez, Ayari, De Cuyper; Kostoulas
