Everton has admitted he could leave Gremio as soon as Thursday, amid reported interest in the forward from the Premier League.
The Brazilian international has been strongly linked with a move to Europe, having shone during this summer’s Copa America. Everton finished as the tournament’s top scorer, opening the scoring in the final as Brazil won their first trophy since 2007 with a 3-1 victory over Peru.
The 23-year-old’s performances are reported to have attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, with the forward hinting a move away from Brazil could be finalised this week.
According to UOL, Gremio are likely to demand a fee of around £36m for the player, who has scored 49 goals in 210 appearances for the club, with Bayern Munich and AC Milan also reportedly keen.
“At this moment I have an offer, but I can’t say the name of the club,” he said.
“Just like I can’t promise that on Thursday I’ll still be playing for Gremio, we’ll see.”
