Bournemouth to reject Chelsea bid for Wilson

Bournemouth will reject any advances for striker Callum Wilson this month according to reports this morning.

The newly capped England international has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent months having enjoyed a highly productive Premier League campaign.

The 26-year-old has scored nine goals and provided five assists for Bournemouth this season, and has seen his fine form rewarded with England recognition.

Chelsea are thought to be keen on adding a striker to their ranks this month following the goalscoring troubles of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata, who have scored a combined six league goals between them this season.

However, according to the Sunday Mirror, the Cherries are set to dig their heels in and deny their striker a move this month.

Bournemouth have just splashed out £19 million to sign striker Dominic Solanke, but have allowed Jermain Defoe to complete and 18 month loan move to Rangers, meaning any departure by Wilson would leave them light up front for the remainder of the season.
