Eddie Howe has described Brighton boss Chris Hughton as an ‘incredible football man’ ahead of Bournemouth’s meeting with The Seagulls this weekend.
Howe spoke of the respect and admiration he has for Hughton because of the brilliant job he has done at The Amex.
“I’ve got so much respect for Chris Hughton and the job he’s done at Brighton,” Howe told his pre-match press conference.
“I look forward to catching up with him. He’s an incredible football man.”
Bournemouth started the season in superb form but they have slipped to 11th in the Premier League table after losing six of their last seven top flight fixtures.
Howe and Hughton have a lot in common in their two roles as they try to secure top-half finishes for their respective sides. They also strive to do this on a tight budget with small squad sizes.
Hughton’s Brighton team are 13th in the league, just two points behind Bournemouth so a win for Brighton at the Vitality Stadium this weekend would see them jump ahead of The Cherries in the table.
