Bournemouth striker Evanilson believes the team has the quality to qualify for Europe after completing a comeback victory over Arsenal in the Premier League.
Declan Rice gave the Gunners a deserved first-half lead after being put through on goal by Martin Odegaard, but it was cancelled out by Dean Huijsen in the 67th minute.
The Spain international turned Antoine Semenyo’s long throw-in into the net for the equaliser before Evanilson scored the winner shortly afterward to seal their first ever away win over Arsenal.
“We had really good preparation through the week,” the Brazilian told Sky Sports after the full time whistle.
“We managed to do everything that we practiced and we managed to get a very important win.
“The style of play, the intensity that we bring to the game really helps.
“Since I arrived the manager and team-mates have been very supportive of me.”

The result sees Bournemouth move up to eighth in the Premier League table, which could be enough to qualify for next season’s Uefa Europa Conference League, provided Crystal Palace don’t win the FA Cup.
“Since I arrived that was the project that was presented to me,” Evanilson said on aiming for European football. “I always believed that we have the quality to fight for these positions.”
The Cherries are now unbeaten in their last five outings, while Arsenal suffered their first league defeat since February. The North London have not yet secured Champions League football for next year despite sitting sitting second for most of the season. With three games to go they are just seven points ahead of sixth-placed Nottingham Forest, who have a game in hand.
