Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic is in talks with Middlesbrough regarding a transfer to the newly promoted club.
The Serbian has been allowed the leave the Bundesliga clubs training camp to discuss a transfer, and it is believed he has held face to face discussions with club officials at the Teeside club.
Middlesbrough clearly have ambitious plans for the future, bringing in highly rated Viktor Fischer from Ajax, before confirming the arrival of Champions League and World Cup winning goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
Sunderland and Liverpool have also been linked with Subotic, who would cost around £8million.
