Chelsea fans have been in need for some good news as of late, and the Blues faithful will be happy to hear that one of their most talented attacking players, Pedro, expects to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have been a club racked with uncertainty in recent months, with the future of their manager Antonio Conte as well as the contractual situations of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois the subject of widespread speculation.
The London club’s announcement that they will be shelving plans to redevelop Stamford Bridge and the complicated Visa situation of owner Roman Abramovich have of course simply added to the mounting feeling that this is a club facing a massive summer period.
Therefore, Pedro admitting that he is happy with life at Chelsea will come as a welcome boost to Blues fans.
The 30-year-old attacker joined the Stamford Bridge outfit in the summer of 2015 from La Liga giants Barcelona, and has netted 20 goals in 95 Premier League appearances since. He has now revealed he is ‘likely’ to stay at the club:
“Obviously I have a contract at Chelsea and most likely I will stay. I’m good here,” he said.
“I’m very comfortable with my team-mates and, in football terms I’m very happy for having won the Premier League and the FA Cup in three years. I’m happy because it’s always difficult to win trophies in England.
“I’m enjoying my holidays right now, getting some rest and spending time with family, and then start the new season in the best way.”
