Leeds United boss Marco Bielsa has lamented his side’s injury problems and has claimed that God is punishing him with the issues that have plagued his side.
Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas have joined the long list of absentees, as both players will miss six weeks of play due to their recent injuries.
But, Bielsa remains in an upbeat mood and has even praised the academy for giving him the strength in depth to manage the current situation.
โI am sure I have done something wrong because god is punishing me,โ said Bielsa top Leeds official website.
โWhen Luke Ayling , got injured, Stuart Dallas played and now Jamie Shackleton who will play.
โThanks to the work the Academy have done for the first team, we have solved the absences in one way or another.
โOf course we are aware of the type of player we are losing and the solutions we are finding allow us to stay optimistic.
Leeds fans will be hoping Bielsa can manage the injury list over the Christmas period and ensure that his side keep pace with Norwich City at the top of the division.
