Bielsa gives Pontus Jansson injury update

Marco Bielsa has given Leeds United fans a boost ahead of their clash against Sheffield United on Saturday, with the news that Pontus Jansson will be available for the fixture.

Leeds have started the season in fine form, and are second in the table following 19 games and sit just one point behind league leaders Norwich City.

However, there were fears that Jansson would miss their big clash against fifth placed Sheffield United, but Bielsa has stated that the full-back will be available to play in the game.

“Pontus will be available for the game and ready to play.’’ Bielsa told his pre-match press conference.

“I have seen very few players with his consistency with his weight and height.

“I haven’t seen that many players with that weight and height who can have the same response as a full-back.

“The only fact that makes me doubt my conclusions is that he is not playing at the highest level, which may mean my conclusions about him are wrong.”

Leeds were without their full back for two games with a foot injury, but will be hoping he can make an impact in their 12:30 kick off at Bramall Lane.
