Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he thinks that Manchester United will win the Premier League title.
Manchester United haven’t managed to add to their impressive tally of 20 league titles since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson five years, but did finish last season with their best tally in terms of both points and league position since the legendary Scot called time on his career.
Despite the bookmakers widely Man City to retain their crown next term, former Spurs and Man Utd striker Berbatov think that Jose Mourinho could go one better next season, although he might be a bit on the biased side when you look at his predictions:
“The top four will be the same as last season but in this order – Manchester United, Spurs, Manchester City, and Liverpool,” Berbatov told Betfair.
“I was going to say Chelsea because of the ‘new manager’ effect, the team start to perform better especially the first couple of matches but I think Liverpool above them because they’ve bought better players, so I’ll stick to the same four as last year.”
While Berbatov has predicted Arsenal to finish outside of the Premier League’s top-four, the Bulgarian thinks that new Gunners boss Unai Emery will bring success back to the Emirates.
