Dimitar Berbatov has said that Unai Emery is the ‘right man’ to bring Arsenal success after the Spaniard replaced Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.
The former Sevilla and PSG boss has taken on the challenge of replacing Wenger at Arsenal after the Frenchman brought an end to his 22 year reign at the club.
He has already set about rebuilding the squad which was left to him by the 68-year-old, making five signings, with the addition of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
“He’s the right man for Arsenal to bring them to more success,” Berbatov told the London Evening Standard.
Speaking about the way Emery’s PSG side played, the Bulgarian added: “They always controlled the game and the ball was moving on the pitch not in the air and I think what he’s going to do with Arsenal.
“He will be even better at Arsenal because Arsenal are always trying to control the game with short passes and moving together up the pitch, so it’s a perfect place for him to develop his vision of the game and I think he’s going to have success there.”
