German giants Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign in demand Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The 27-year-old is the Gunners longest serving player having moved to the North London in 2008 from boyhood club Cardiff City and the Wales international has twice scored the winning goal in the FA Cup Arsenal.
However, his contract at the Emirates expires at the end of the season and Arsenal have withdrawn the offer of a new deal, with it now widely accepted that he will be moving to pastures new at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Express, Bundesliga Champions Bayern rate Ramsey highly and would like to start negotiations with the highly-rated midfielder over a summer move to Bavaria in January, as they are allowed to do under UEFA regulations.
Bayern are set to face plenty of competition for his signature however, with Premier League clubs Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton all said to be interested in offering the Arsenal star a new home.
The report also suggests that Chelsea have cooled their interest due to the promising form of English pair Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
