Bayern Munich heads on the road this Saturday as they take on Mainz in their next Bundesliga clash.
Vincent Kompany’s side comes into the match as champions, having already wrapped up the league title last week with four games still to play.
They sealed it in style with a 4–2 win over Stuttgart and are currently in excellent form, winning their last four matches. Bayern are also unbeaten in their last 15 away games and have scored a remarkable 109 goals this season, setting a new Bundesliga record. After reaching the DFB-Pokal final in midweek, they now have their sights set on completing a historic treble.
Bayern Munich team news
With the title race no longer a concern, Bayern travel to Mainz with less pressure, but squad management becomes crucial ahead of their Champions League semi-final against PSG.
Injuries are starting to pile up for Kompany. Serge Gnabry has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious adductor injury, while Sven Ulreich, Lennart Karl, and Tom Bischof are also unavailable.
Rotation is expected, with experienced players like Manuel Neuer and Dayot Upamecano likely to be rested. This could give young goalkeeper Jonas Urbig another opportunity to start.
Even with changes, Bayern still have plenty of quality, with Michael Olise and Nicolas Jackson set to lead the attack.
