Bayern Munich remain in ‘very positive talks’ with Jamal Musiala over a contract extension at the club.
Musiala’s current deal expires in 2026 and Europe’s elite clubs are monitoring his situation at the Allianz Arena. Real Madrid and Manchester City are admirers of the 21-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best young talents in world football.
Bayern are desperate to tie Musiala down to a new deal and Sky Germany are reporting that the Bavarians are confident of reaching an agreement.
The Bundesliga side are reportedly prepared to offer Musiala a new contract that would almost triple his current salary to around €25m per season with bonuses included. The deal would run until 2030.
As things stand, Musiala’s representatives have held no talks with other clubs despite known interest from La Liga and the Premier League.
Musiala was the joint-leading scorer in last summer’s European Championship and has been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season in each of the last two campaigns.
He has scored 46 goals and 34 assists in 176 senior appearances for Bayern Munich since leaving Chelsea, aged 16, for Germany.
