Bayern Munich have confirmed their interest in signing Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
Bayern are looking to strengthen in the wide areas this summer, with veteran wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben both set to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, and the German champions have been linked with a €70m move for Leroy Sane.
The 23-year-old has emerged as a top target for Niko Kovac’s side, having slipped down the pecking order behind Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling at the Etihad this season.
The German international started just 21 times in the Premier League last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists for Pep Guardiola’s title winners.

Bayern are now ready to test City’s resolve to hold on to Sane, with the club’s president Uli Hoeness confirming their interest in securing a deal.
“We are dealing with this player,” Hoeness told Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
Sane moved to Man City from Schalke in 2016, winning the PFA Young Player of the Year in 2017/18.
The winger is believed to be content in Manchester, however would be keen on moving to a Bayern side where he would be an undisputed starter should a deal be agreed.
