Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Everton ace Jordan Pickford according to reports today, and will keep a close eye on his performances for England at this summers World Cup.
Having starred for Sunderland in the 2016/17 campaign, the 24-year-old has continued his progress this season at Everton, and is likely to be rewarded by being made England’s first choice goalkeeper for this summers tournament in Russia.
Another player heading East this summer is Bayern Munich ‘keeper Manuel Neuer. The German number one has been included in Joachim Low’s 23 man World Cup squad, despite missing eight months of action with a foot injury, with his last club appearance coming way back in September.
His injury has led to growing concerns about his future, and according to The Sun, Bayern are considering alternatives, with Neuer’s deputy Sven Ulreich making some pretty costly errors in Neuers absence.
They claim that Pickford is one of the players that the Bavarian side are keeping a close eye on, and have already sent ‘spies’ to watch the Everton stopper in action over the last few months.
He only joined Everton last summer in a £30 million from the North East, and the report claims that if the Bundesliga champions were to make a move, the Toffees would want to double their money.
