Bayern Munich confirm Kimmich to miss Arsenal clash

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Joshua Kimmich will miss tonight's Champions League clash with Arsenal due to a family bereavement.

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Joshua Kimmich will miss tonight’s Champions League clash with Arsenal due to a family bereavement.

The 31-year-old will play no part in tonight’s tie against the Premier League champions following ‘a death in his immediate family’, the club have confirmed.

“Due to a death in his immediate family, Joshua Kimmich is not in the squad today for the match against Arsenal London,” the club statement said.

“On behalf of the family, we ask that his privacy and grief be respected, and that further inquiries and reporting be refrained from. In deep sympathy, the entire FC Bayern stands by Joshua Kimmich’s side.

A 10-time German title winner, Kimmich has started all but one of Bayern’s games in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, providing four assists in eight appearances.
