Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has admitted that the Bundesliga Champions are willing to allow midfielder Arturo Vidal leave the Allianz Arena this summer.
Chile international Vidal has won three successive league titles since moving to Bavaria from Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2015.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Vidal in almost every transfer window since the Louis Van Gaal era, whereas another member of the Premier League top six Chelsea have recently been credited with an interest in the 31-year-old.
Bayern currently have an overflow of top class midfield options in their squad and for this reason the clubs CEO has admitted that will be open to letting Vidal leave this summer.
“We have stated several times that we have one, two extra midfielders in the team,” Rummenigge said.
“We would rather do something that way, so that the coach does not suffer political stress. If there will be departures, but we will certainly work on it.”
It has been speculated that Vidal is set to join Serie A giants Inter Milan.
