Raphinha has been ‘clear’ on his desire to stay at Barcelona despite ongoing speculation surrounding his future.
Saudi Pro League clubs have approached Raphinha this week to gauge his availability and interest in a transfer this summer.
The Brazil international has been touted as a casualty of Barcelona’s summer transfer business as the Catalans push to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao and RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo.
Raphinha also has admirers among the Premier League’s top teams with Arsenal and Chelsea having attempted to sign the winger before his move from Leeds to Barcelona, while Aston Villa and Manchester United have been linked of late.
However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Raphinha wants to stay in Spain this summer and has no intention of leaving Barcelona despite the imminent threat to his first-team place.
The 27-year-old scored six goals and laid on nine assists in La Liga in 2023-24, though was afforded just 17 starts.
Lamine Yamal’s emergence on the right flank contributed to his reduced minutes and the arrival of Williams and Olmo would further increase competition for places at the Camp Nou.
Despite that situation, the Brazilian is determined to fight for his place at the Camp Nou under new head coach Hansi Flick.
