Barcelona once again linked with a move for Rashford

Barcelona are once again being linked with a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, should the Spanish giants fail in moves for Antoine Griezmann or Neymar.

The La Liga champions are thought to be seeking a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez at the Nou Camp, with Ernesto Valverde’s side reportedly interested in moves for Atletico Madrid’s Griezmann and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.

Griezmann last month revealed he was set to leave Atletico after five years in the Spanish capital, having been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona.

The Catalan club are also believed to be monitoring former star Neymar’s situation at PSG, as the club seek to strengthen their forward line this summer.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona are now weighing up a move for Manchester United forward Rashford as their ‘Plan B’ option.

The 21-year-old has stalled on signing a new contract at Old Trafford with his current deal set to expire in 2020.

Rashford scored 13 goals in all competitions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last season, reaching double figures in the league for the first time in his career.

The England international would likely command a big-money fee, with the report saying United would not accept a bid of less than €100m, however, Barcelona feel Rashford’s age and potential make him a viable candidate to replace the 32-year-old Suarez long-term.
