Just when you thought that Barcelona’s MSN attack of Messi, Suarez and Neymar wasn’t bad enough, Barcelona are close to splashing a further €35million on their strike force.
Several reports in Spain claim that Barcelona will complete the signing of Valencia striker Paco Alcacer as early as today. The deal will cost the Catalan club €30million up front plus a further €5million of variable costs.
Valencia were reluctant to sell the striker who came through the the clubs academy, but after the Spaniard made it clear to the club that he wanted to leave, the clubs hierarchy have decided to cash in.
The deal will help alleviate some of the financial problems that grip the La Liga club, which also means that Arsenal’s potential move for Shkodran Mustafi will be even more difficult for the Gunners to complete.
Alcacer will sign a five year contract worth €2million-a-year. His arrival could also signal the departure of Barcelona forward Munir who is currently the back up forward for the club.
