Barcelona are looking at making a January move for Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen according to reports new Spain.
There have been lots of reports in recent months of Barcelona’s interest in signing a new ‘number 10’ with the Blaugrana looking to raid some of the Premier League’s biggest stars.
The La Liga leaders have already been linked with some of England’s biggest stars including Philippe Coutinho, Mesut Ozil and Dele Alli.
However, according to Don Balon, while the Catalan club are interested in signing the aforementioned players, it is in fact Spurs’ Christian Eriksen who is their main target.
The report highlights that Eriksen is a far more creative player than either of the others scoring 34 goals and providing 44 assists since 2013. Coutinho has 33 goals and 25 assists while Ozil has 24 goals and 47 assists in the same period.
The Danish international still has two-and-a-half years on his contract meaning he would not be a cheap option, especially given that Ozil is available on a free, however his wages would be significantly less than his German counterpart.
