Leeds striker Patrick Bamford has said his side ‘mean business’ this season after they returned to the top of the Championship table on Saturday.
Bamford returned from injury to score the winner as Marcelo Bielsa’s won 1-0 at Bolton to overtake Norwich at the top, their fifth league win in succession.
“I think this shows we mean business,” Bamford told leedsunited.com.
“We’re here to try and participate in the league and do well, but it’s one of those where it’s early days.
“It’s halfway through. We’re only six points clear and you know that in the Championship if you win a few games everything turns around. It’s the same if you lose a few games.
“It can turn around quickly and that’s why we’ve got to keep our minds on it.
“We can’t get carried away and I think the coaching staff will make sure that our minds stay on the task.”
Leeds next game is a trip to Villa Park to face Dean Smith’s in-form Aston Villa.
