Spain international defender Cesar Azpilicueta has signed a new four year contract with Chelsea that will see him extend his stay at Stamford Bridge until 2012.
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the most consistent defenders in English Football since arriving in West London from French side Marseille for £7 million in 2012, winning two Premier League titles and the FA Cup.
Azpilicueta’s dedication and professionalism has seen Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri appoint him as his captain this season and the man affectionately known as ‘Dave,’ has voiced his delight at extending his stay with the Blues.
Delighted to be a blue until 2022. Since I arrived in 2012, my desire has been always to give my best and fight for this club, and now more than ever, I feel the responsibility to bring more success to this family.
WE WILL KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH !
