Aubameyang reveals Arsenal frustrations

Arsenal record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he has already grown ‘frustrated’ and ‘disappointed’ at his new club.

The £56 million striker has had a relatively steady start to his Arsenal career, scoring three goals in five Premier League appearances since arriving from Borussia Dortmund back in January.

His third goal of the campaign came in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Watford at the weekend, a goal set up by his former Dortmund team mate and fellow new arrival Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but now he must wait three weeks until his next appearance.

Despite Arsenal playing AC Milan on Thursday, the Gabon international is ineligible to play due to Dortmund’s involvement in the competition, and the striker has now spoken about the situation.

“I am really frustrated because the rules are a bit… I don’t know how to say in English, but I am disappointed because I can’t help my team,” he told talkSPORT.

“That’s life. I have to deal with it.”

Arsenal have no game at the weekend due to the FA Cup, meaning that Aubameyang’s next chance to impress is April the 1st following the International break.
