Atalanta will demand a fee of €60m (£50m) to sell midfielder Ederson in the January transfer window amid interest from Europe’s top clubs.
Manchester City have been named as admirers of the Brazil international as the Premier League champions consider replacements for the injured Rodri. Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs have previously been linked with the 25-year-old.
Ederson was an important part of the Atalanta side that won the Europa League last season and has earned two caps for Brazil since his international debut earlier this year.
He ranked second in Serie A for tackles last season and is viewed as a potential option to ease Manchester City’s issues in midfield, with Rodri out for the campaign.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner sustained an ACL injury in September and will not feature again this season, leaving Pep Guardiola light at the base of his midfield.
Italian outlet Calciomercato are reporting that Atalanta will demand €60m to part with Ederson in January. The Citizens could also face competition from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
