Aston Villa are interested in a deal to bring Tammy Abraham back to the club.

Abraham is currently on loan at Besiktas from AS Roma, where he has scored 12 times in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Turkish side.

Villa are open to a deal to bring the England international back to the Premier League, according to The Telegraph, if possible this month.

Unai Emery views Abraham as an ideal option to complement Ollie Watkins, with Villa having lacked a recognised alternative to Watkins since the sale of Jhon Duran last January.

The Spaniard wants mid-season reinforcements to keep his side competitive on multiple fronts. Villa beat Tottenham to progress in the FA Cup this weekend, while Emery’s side just six points from the top of the Premier League table. The Villans also remain in the Europa League.

Villa are nearing a deal for Metz teenager Brian Madjo but are keen to bring in a more experienced option alongside the signing of the 16-year-old.

Abraham spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Villa Park from Chelsea. He scored 26 times in 40 appearances to help the club to promotion to the Premier League.

The 28-year-old netted 30 times in 82 games for Chelsea before joining Roma in a £34m deal in 2021.\ After starting brightly in Rome with a 27-goal debut season and Europa Conference League success, injuries impacted Abraham’s impact. He spent last season on loan at AC Milan before joining Besiktas last summer.
