Aston Villa are interested in signing Leicester City left-back Christian Fuchs on loan until the end of the season.
Austrian international Fuchs has made 94 Premier League appearances for Leicester since signing from Schalke in 2015 and was part of the Foxes shock title win during his first season at the club.
However, he has fallen out of favour since Claude Puel took over at the King Power, with the French coach preferring England international Ben Chilwell.
According to the Mirror Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is keen to increase his option on the left-hand side of defence with Wales international Neil Taylor currently the Championship sides only recognised left-back.
The report also states, however, that Fuchs’ wages may be a major stumbling block with Leicester keen for Villa to cover the full cost of his £60,000 a week paycheck.
