Ashley Cole could be about to link up with former teammate Frank Lampard at Derby County.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea full-back was released by MLS outfit LA Galaxy in November 2018, meaning he is now a free agent.
According to the BBC, the Rams are in talks with Cole about a possible return to English football for the second half of the season.
If Cole were to sign with Derby County, he would be joining up with manager Frank Lampard, with whom he was a Chelsea teammate for eight years from 2006.
Cole would add experience and another defensive option to a Derby side chasing promotion to the Premier League for the first time in eleven years.
Derby currently sit sixth in the Championship table, occupying the final playoff spot, but have only won one of their last five league fixtures.
