Arsenal travel to Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup fourth round on Tuesday evening, looking to continue an unbeaten run that stretches back five matches across all competitions.

Mikel Arteta’s side moved level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table with a 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, Ezri Konsa’s early goal ending a 13-game wait for a set-piece strike. Arsenal reached this round of the EFL Cup with a 4-2 win over Ipswich Town, Max Dowman scoring twice to earn the third round’s player of the round award.

Arsenal team news

Bukayo Saka is out for six to eight weeks with a serious quad injury sustained against Bayern Munich and is not expected back until early December. William Saliba (back) remains sidelined too, with a return targeted for late November, and Riccardo Calafiori will also miss out after going straight down the tunnel at full time against Everton with what Arteta described as a minor, unspecified issue. Christos Tzolis is close to full fitness after a hamstring problem but could be given this tie off with a trip to Liverpool to follow at the weekend. Arsenal have no players suspended for the match.

Dowman is expected to be among several changes to the side that beat Everton, with Marli Salmon and Andre Harriman-Annous also in line to start, the latter potentially leading the line while Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres are rested. Martin Zubimendi is set for a rare start in midfield alongside Myles Lewis-Skelly, with Declan Rice given a breather after he was seen holding his hamstring following Saturday’s win.
