Arsenal winger Noni Madueke set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury during the club’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Madueke was substituted during the second half of the clash at the Emirates, in which Gabriel Martinelli’s late equaliser rescued a point for Arsenal.

Rumours had surfaced that Madueke had sustained an ACL issue, an injury that could potentially curtail his campaign. However, despite those reports, journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Madueke has not suffered an ACL injury.

The England international is due to face time on the sidelines but Arsenal are optimistic over the extend of the issues. Tests remain ongoing to determine the extent of Madueke’s injury.

The 23-year-old has started the season positively since his £55m move from Chelsea in the summer, starting four of the club’s five Premier League games.
