Arsenal could eventually be about to sign a striker after months of searching and speculation.
Gonzalo Higuain, Jamie Vardy and Alexandre Lacazette are just a few names linked with Arsenal over the summer, but it seems like they have finally bagged a goalscorer.
Reports in Spain claim that Arsenal have agreed a £17million deal to sign Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez, which providing there are no hold ups, should be completed within the next 48-hours.
Everton had been believed to have agreed a deal to bring the striker to the Premier League but it seems as though Arsenal have pipped the Toffees to his signature.
The striker has agreed a three or four year deal with the club and would provide much needed competition for the often criticised Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal’s only other striker is Danny Welbeck who suffered a long term injury last season, whilst Arsene Wemger has been utilising Alexis Sanchez as a makeshift striker in the early parts of the season.
