Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for unsettled Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez.
The Colombian, currently in the second of a two-year loan at the German champions from Real Madrid, has fallen out-of-favour this season under new Bayern manager Niko Kovac.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a positive debut season in Munich as Bayern won the Bundesliga, but has found opportunities limited this season after Jupp Heyncke’s retirement as manager and Kovac’s ensuing appointment.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern will take up the option to sign Rodriguez on a permanent basis, whilst Madrid may also welcome the player back after a change in management at the Bernabeu.
Don Balón are reporting that Arsenal are monitoring Rodriguez’s situation and would be willing to spend €60m to sign the playmaker. Rodriguez, the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner, has also been linked with a move to Italian side Juventus.
